Zaepfel Stadium, Yakima

Zaepfel Stadium is a football and track stadium located on the campus on Eisenhower High School in Yakima. Opened in 1962 and known as Yakima Stadium, the facility was named after John Zaepfel who was a long time Yakima athletic director and coach. The track at the stadium is named after Don Holder.

Zaepfel Stadium and Don Holder Track, which have a seating capacity that can reach 10,000, underwent a major renovation in 2014 with resurfacing of the track, artificial turf installed on the field, upgraded bathrooms and more. A new scoreboard, funded by GESA Credit Union, has video capability for replays, live feeds and posting of results through FinishLynx, the system that operates the photo-finish camera and automatic timing.

The stadium has been home to Davis Pirate and Eisenhower Cadet football and soccer as well as track and field. Don Holder track has hosted the State Track and Field Meet and is the annual home for the Don Holder relays.
