Blue Devil Stadium in Walla Walla officially opened in September 2025, marking a new era for Walla Walla High School athletics after nearly a century at Borleske Stadium.

A Century in the Making: The History of Blue Devil Stadium
For 99 years, Walla Walla High School (Wa-Hi) hosted its football games at Borleske Stadium, a multi-purpose venue built in 1926 and named after Raymond Vincent Borleske, a legendary Whitman College athlete and coach. While Borleske served the community well, its primary configuration was for baseball, and it lacked modern amenities for high school football and other sports.

In February 2024, Walla Walla voters approved a $15 million capital levy to upgrade athletic facilities across the district. This included the construction of a brand-new stadium on the Wa-Hi campus. The goal was to create a dedicated, modern space for football, soccer, and school-wide events—bringing the Blue Devils home for the first time in nearly a century.

Grand Opening and Features
The new Blue Devil Stadium was unveiled with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 3, 2025, followed by the first-ever varsity football game on September 12. The stadium boasts:

  • High-quality turf field
  • Modern low-glare stadium lighting
  • New restrooms and changing facilities
  • Iconic brick features and grand entrance
